Program Overview

成人抖音破解版’s Master of Athletic Training program prepares students to deliver patient-centered health care through classroom and clinical education experiences. Students will study essential topics including injury prevention, clinical examination and diagnosis, acute care of injuries and illnesses, and more. Students will also be well prepared to sit for the national certification examination through the Board of Certification Inc. Athletic trainers work within a variety of health care settings including universities, hospitals and physician offices, industrial settings, performing arts, and more.

MAT Degree Pathway Options

成人抖音破解版 offers multiple pathways for students to earn their Master of Athletic Training degree.

Accelerated 3+2: There are two accelerated 3+2 pathways via an undergraduate major/degree in Health Science or Applied Exercise Science. With these pathways students begin graduate work in their fourth year and will have earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree by the end of their fifth year. 

Traditional 4+2: 成人抖音破解版 students who wish to complete a traditional 4-year undergraduate degree prior to beginning graduate coursework may still do so through the Health Science or Applied Exercise Science degree pathways. This is a common selection for student-athletes or those who do not wish to accelerate their degree path.

Graduate (Stand-Alone) 2-Year Post Baccalaureate: Students completing undergraduate coursework at another institution are encouraged to apply for the 2-year Master of Athletic Training program upon completion of their degree and prerequisites.

Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE)

Students will gain foundational knowledge by completing required prerequisite coursework during their undergraduate studies to prepare for the rigors of graduate school and the athletic training profession.

Students will engage in multiple clinical experiences in a variety of settings under professional experts trained as preceptors while enrolled in the graduate program. Coursework will focus on evidence-based application for the prevention, evaluation, intervention, and treatment of athletic injuries and medical conditions related to physical activity.

Students will learn to collaborate & experience interprofessional opportunities with athletic trainers, physicians, and other health care professionals, faculty, preceptors, and students to provide quality health care to various patient populations.

Students will participate in evidence-based clinical practice under the supervision of expert faculty and preceptors. Learning in our modern facilities such as the Athletic Training Lab, Patient Simulation Center and more, provides students with a clinical-like setting that mimics the way health care professionals collaborate in real time using high-fidelity technology.
