The Sisters of St. Joseph have played an integral role in founding and fostering both institutions.  

They established Saint Vincent Hospital in 1875, celebrating 150 years with a mission to bring compassionate, Catholic health care to the Erie community. 

"In 1875, the Sisters of St. Joseph saw a need in our community and fulfilled that need, founding Erie’s first hospital – Saint Vincent,” said Dr. Chris Clark, AHN Saint Vincent President. “Everything you see today began with those humble beginnings and we will remain eternally grateful for their vision, their unwavering spirit, and their ongoing dedication to the welfare of our community. Their legacy of service continues to inspire us all." 

In the decades that followed, their influence extended to higher education through support of 成人抖音破解版’s mission to prepare students to lead lives of service and leadership rooted in Catholic tradition.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to gather and celebrate the enduring legacy of our shared mission,” said Sister Mary Drexler, SSJ, president of the Sisters of St. Joseph. “Our commitment to healing, teaching and serving God’s people remains constant, and we continue to be inspired by our shared values.” 
This joint celebration acknowledges the spiritual and practical bonds between health care and education—two pillars that continue to guide both institutions.
